*The first meeting to promote the
new Stirling Albion FC took place at 54 Wallace Street,
premises of TH Ferguson Coal Merchants, on May 10th
1945. Five local businessmen contributed funds to launch
the new club and after consideration of names such as
Stirling Villa and Kings Park, Stirling Albion was chosen. |

*Spare seats on the team bus were
regularly sold to supporters. Fans were charged 6/5
for the trip to Dundee in October. |

*Annfield Estates was purchased for
£5000. A number of tree’s had to be felled
from the playing surface; they were sold to J McAllister
of St. Ninians for £100 plus a set of goalposts. |

| * Mr. J. Dow was appointed
trainer for the season and Mr. J. Ging was the groundsman. |
