Coach
This thread will carry all the news about the Young Reds entry into the FVFDA.
Following the Football Festival on 9th/10th June, we have decided to enter teams at Under 12 and Under 11. The Under 12 squad is looking healthy but we need boys and girls to help bolster the Under 11 squad.
If there are any boys and girls born between 1/1/97 and 31/12/97 interested in playing for the Young Reds, could they contact me.
We are also looking for coaches at all age levels. If anyone is interested in coaching, could they also contact me. We would prefer coaches with appropriate qualifications for this age level, but we are willing to put anyone interested incoaching through courses.
Coach
The Young Reds are pleased to announce that the Bridge of Allan Supporters Club have agreed to provide funds to supply one of our teams with rain jackets and 4 sets of pop up goals which can be used at training sessions.

The Young Reds very much appreciate the support, both past and present, of this loyal band of supporters.

There is still n opportunity to help with rain jackets for the other team and further information can be obtained from myself.
Coach
The Young Reds teams made their debut today in the FVFDA league.
Whilst results will not be published, a general progress report will be given as the weeks and months go by.
This is a landmark as the Young Reds approach their 10th birthday and to see teams oiperating on a weekly basis is very encouraging.
The next set of fixtures will take place on 1st September. Full details are available on the FVFDA website, www.fvfda.co.uk
Coach
The second week of fixtures saw the Under 12's take on Bowhouse at Woodlands whilst the Under 11's played a round robin against Carse Thistle and Castleview at Kings Park.
Both teams performed well with the Under 12's recording a draw whilst the Under 11's, though suffering 2 defeats, showed a lot of fight and promise.

Not as far as I can see.
Andy Plumb
Saturday's game was a real thriller, by all accounts. Thanks are due to Willie and Norman for their efforts in coaching the team.
Coach
A bad day with both the under 12's and under 11's suffering heavy defeats. Next week both teams are in action at the Kings Park so, lets hope, they can bounce back.

I've been re-checking the fixtures and I see that the under 11's are due to play Strathendrick as part of a Round Robin on 22nd September at Ochilview. However, as teams seem to be dropping out of the league, this may change.
Coach
The Under 12's played Claremont and, after suffering a heavy defeat last week, recorded a more creditable score line even though they suffered another defeat.
The Under 11's played Central Rio and, although losing heavily, did score 3 goals, their first in the league.
Coach
The latest round of fixtures saw the Under 12's play Cornton United whilst the Under 11's travelled to Ochilview to play a round robin against Strathendrick and Jack Ross 3. The Under 12's suffered the narrowest of defeats whilst the Under 11's achieved their best result to date with a 0-0 draw in their first match though they did lose their second.
Coach
The Under 11's played on the artificial pitch at Recreation Park but suffered a heavy defeat.
The Under 12's played extremely well to record their first win in the FVFDA League. Congratulations to all the boys.
Next week, both teams will be playing at the Kings Park.
Coach
Both teams suffered defeats today. The Under 12's played Dunblane and built up an early 3 goal lead. However, Dunblane fought back to record a victory.
The Under 11's were up against a strong Milton side and lost quite heavily though they did have the consolation of scoring a goal and missed a penalty.
There are no games next weekend and the league resumes on 20th October. However, both teams will train at the Kings Park on 9th October.
Annfield Red
The Under 12's won 2-0 v Riverside at the weekend. The boys played very well to secure another win at this level.

Does anyone know how the 11's got on?

Cheers

Great result considering Riverside are a well established team.

The Under 11's were playing Cowie.
Coach
Congratulations to the under 11's who recorded their first victory in the FVFDA when they beat Dunblane. This is a sign that all the hard work by Chris and Andy, the coaches, is starting to pay off.
Unfortunately, the under 12's lost to Larbert.
MIF
Yip, Andy was telling me on Sunday- a fantastic result by the sounds of it. Well done. beer.gif
Coach
Scott Kinross, SFA Devlopment Officer for Stirling, is very impressed at what the School is doing.
Coach
All FVFDA games scheduled for Kings Park will now be played at Forthbank. There are only 2 weeks of the first part of the season left. The under 11's will play both weeks at Forthbank whilst the under 12's have to travel to Recreation Park both weeks.
Coach
In preparation for the league re-starting on 1st March, the under 11's played a friendly against Carse Thistle last night. Despite losing, the boys had a useful run out and at least one more friendly will be played before 1st March.
The under 12's also have a friendly lined up against Carse in 2 weeks time.
Coach
The under 12's maintained their unbeaten start to 2008 when they defeated Alloa Saints Blue at Forthbank.

Following last week's heavy defeat to Jack Ross 3, the under 11's put in a much improved performance though they lost to Jack Ross 1. Both these teams are part of the Falkirk FC Community set up.
Coach
Both teams will be in action at Forthbank this Saturday. The under 12's are playing at 9-15 while the under 11's are on at 12-15
Coach
Disappointing day with the under 12's losing their unbeaten record while the under 11's also lost.
Both teams were under strength due to school holidays but that could probably be said for most teams playing today. The under 12's even had to "loan" a player to their opposition but, in the friendly spirit of the FVFDA, this was appreciated all round.
Coach
The Young Reds have been awarded another set of strips from the Royal Mail Sports Foundation. This will help us to kit out a 3rd team.
many thanks to the Royal Mail for their generous support.
Coach
Just found out tonight that the under 11's won on Saturday. Andy kept that quiet.
This is their first win of 2008 and only their second this season but well done to the boys for keeping plugging away.
Coach
After a few weeks of defeats, the under 12's got back to winning ways with a victory over Hillfoots at Ochilview.

I managed to take in the under 11's at the Recs where they played a round robin against Alva Swifts and Castleview. In the first match against Alva Swifts, the Young Reds came from behind to get a creditable draw. They followed that with a narrow defeat against Castleview with the only goal of the game coming in the last minute when the boys started to tire against a fresher Castleview team.
Coach
Under 11's played Alloa Saints at Forthbank this morning. Although they suffered a heavy defeat, some of their passing was good to watch. Also, I have never seen a team have so many shots at goal and get very little reward.
The boys are playing against more experienced teams and as long as they don't let the scores get them down and concentrate on the good points, things will improve.
Coach
The under 12's lost by the narrowest of margins to Larbert Athletic in a high scoring match whilst the under 11's eventually played a round robin, losing to Young Falkirk and drawing with Alloa Saints.
Next Sunday both squads will be playing in the FVFDA Festival at Little Kerse, Grangemouth on Sunday.
Coach

MIF

Under 11's lost 4-2 to Central Rio Blue after leading 2-0 at half time.

The Young Reds own website, www.clubwebsite.co.uk/stirlingalbionyoungreds has been upadted with the full league fixtures for the under 13's.
Games played up to 27th September will not count towards the league as this is the league's developmental phase. From 4th October, results will count.

The fixture is due to be played on 6th or 7th September. Details will be posted once the date and venue has been confirmed. This will be a very tough match against a long established club. The competitive stage of the FVFDA started today. The |under 13's played Hillfoots Community Club Blue at Fallin and lost 4-2. The reports I have been given say that the Young Reds dominated the game but couldn't convert enough of their chances into goals. They even managed to miss a penalty. Scorers were Greig Robertson and Takumi Watanabe.
However, the results have shown a considerable improvement since the start of the season and their first win can't be too far away.
There are no league fixtures next Saturday and the league resumes on 18th October with an away match against Carse Thistle.
Full details are available on the club website which is www.clubwebsite.co.uk/stirlingalbionyoungreds.
Coach
Under 13's lost 12-1 to Carse Thistle. Playing against the wind in the first half, the Reds held their opponents well but failed to capitalise in the second half and were punished for some poor defending. However, it must be said that Carse are a good team with some of their goals being well taken.
Coach
After a 2 week break because of the weather, the under 13's resume with a Regional Cup tie against Claremont. The game has had to be switched to Borestone because of damage done to Drypow Park by Stirling Council.
The game has an 11-30 kick off.

The Under 12's and Under 11's both play at 11-00. The Under 12's at Recreation Park, Alloa against Stenhousemuir and the Under 11's play Sauchie at Ochilview.
Coach
The Under 13's were due to play Alloa Saints away this Saturday. However, this has now been changed to a home game against Young Falkirk Blue. Unfortunately, the game may have to be cancelled as the Council have not repaired the damage done by their grass cutters to the pitch at Fallin and they have informed us no other pitches are available.
Coach
The Under 13's match against Falkirk In The Community, down as a home match, has been switched to Larbert High School kick off 10-00a.m.
The Under 13's will play future home matches at Stirling High School.
Coach
Under 13's lost 7-0 to Falkirk In The Community.
Under 12's lost to Carse Thitle Colts whilst under 11's beat Tam Scobbie 1.
Coach
Under 13's game against Bowhouse cancelled because of a frozen pitch. Next week they are due to play Central Rio away.
Coach
Under 13's match against Central Rio cancelled - pitch unplayable. That's 6 cancellations in 9 games.

Under 12's beat Darren Barr 3 whilst Under 11's lost to Auchterarder.
Coach
Tomorrow's under 13's game against Riverside has been postponed because of a frozen pitch. The league now takes a break until 10th January but it is going to be a busy 2009 with 10 cancelled games to be fitted in.

The under 12's play Alva Swifts at Ochilview 12 noon kick off. The under 11's play Callander at Forthbank with a 10-15 kick off.
Coach

Coach

The under 13's are due to play Young Falkirk Blue next Saturday at Stirling High School, kick off 10-00a.m.

I ref' a St Modans U15's game last night and the wee guy who plays on the left wing (Steven?- plays in the Binos U15's I think) was a cracking wee player. He scored 5 goals in a 8-2 win for St Modans.
