Well done on organising what looks set to be another sucessful night for the Young Reds. You clearly do a power of work for this group and deserve some recognition for it (and support form the club and playing staff). Good work, keep it up, it is appreciated by all the Young Reds and their parents.

A successful Bowling Night was held at the AMF Bowl. 27 Young Reds were joined by Mark McNally, Sean Roycroft, Marek Tomana, Ian Cashmore, Ross Forsyth, Dene Shields, Steven Bell, Paul Hay, Nathan Taggart, Chris Malseed, Chris Aitken and Colin Cramb. The children thoroughly enjoyed the chance to bowl with the players, get their photos taken and also get a few autographs.
Thanks must go to Graham Hamilton for coming along to take the photos and the Young Reds Committee and parents for helping on the night.

Marek Tomana?! Amazing!
Was he being translated when talking to the children or did he keep out the way?
That seems like a totally odd list... almost like those id expect to be there arent and those i wouldnt are!

Marek had his interpreter there but Graham remarked that his English seems to be getting better.

marek's english is a lot better still needs Joe's help with somethings but I think the old scottish accent at times doesn't help.
He got right into playing the bowling with the kids and was a very popular player for the autographs.

Warmest thanks to all who helped with this, in tricky circumstances - with the Forfar game forcing hasty changes. Thanks are also due to the players - almost all the first team regulars were there and the kids had a great time bowling and meeting the guys.
Do not underestimate the power of events like this in cementing the bond between the club and young fans. How many of my son's Rangers and Celtic supporting friends can claim to have gone bowling with the whole first team?
Thanks again, great time was had by all. Highlight of my evening was being asked for my autograph by a starry-eyed young fan. I can only assume she mistook me for some top-notch striker set to sign for Albion in the transfer window. I used to get mistaken for Frank McDougall when I lived in Aberdeen, maybe that's it?

Is there photos from the night then? Would be good to see more photos from young red events!

Graham took quite a few photos so, hopefully, they will be put on some time.
